NEW WORKSHOPS

I will be running my first proper workshops this summer! The Natural World Centre at Whisby Nature Park have kindly offered me a space to try teaching some classes, you will be able to book through the centre to attend classes. The plan is to expand and add more if they prove popular so don't be shy in expressing interest and feedback!

DRAW YOUR OWN DOG 25th of July

Aimed at adults and older children

I've chatted to lots of visitors at events when I'm selling my pet portraits and heard frequently "Oh I wish I could draw" or "I tried to draw my dog once but-" and I would love to encourage any aspiring artists to have a go! You are encouraged to send me a photo of your dog so I can make custom guidelines. The idea is for you to sit down and draw something you actually like looking at (your dog) to keep you engaged, and learn some drawing basics that you can transfer to other drawings in future.

Need something child-friendly for the summer holidays? I will be running two 30 minute paper craft workshops aimed at primary school age children where they can use craft a portrait of their best furry friend with colourful paper cut outs.

I told someone about the Draw Your Own Dog workshop and they asked when I'd teach a cat version. Typical! So I will look into running a class like that next year. More Upcoming Events

As part of the Natural World Centre's anniversary celebrations, I will be running a pet portrait stand where visitors can commission a postcard portrait of their dogs at the centre and return to pick it up after a cup of coffee or a nice walk around the lakes.

You can come and see me in the centre for your portrait(s) on the 2nd of August.

I am doing two agricultural shows this summer and then I'm wrapping up until the Crafty Christmas Market at the end of November.
