Lincolnshire Artisan Market

Do you love handmade artwork and crafts? Do you love nature? Do you love wandering around lakes in temperamental weather? Do you love snuggling up in a café overlooking a lake once you're thoroughly drenched? Are these questions getting silly and oddly specific?

Whisby Nature Park is just to the South-West of Lincoln, down the western bypass. It features some lovely walks around a small lake system. Fantastic for birdwatching and dog walking. It's one of my favourite places to be. Even better, it features a visitor centre, the Natural World Centre, which boasts a fabulous café, shop, and indoor play area. And if you sneak downstairs on the right day, there's a veritable cave of wonders in the Cygnet Suite.

Brett Barker of Upcycled Innovations has been organising artisan markets since 2020 and I am a regular attendee. Alongside my original artwork and Brett's upcycled metalworking, there are also: Leather-workers, jewellery-makers, bag-makers, candle-makers, floral artists, wildlife photographers and other artisans I don't know the word for.

I am aware this is late notice, but we're currently in the Cygnet Suite from 09:30 to 16:00, Saturday and Sunday (27th-28th of September). See you there!
